PostSubject: ONE FLU UNDER THE CUCKOO’S NEST    Wed Jan 16, 2013 12:24 am

Government seems to thrive on a manufactured crisis to justify its existence and its policies and to stop its approval ratings going into free-fall. This is very disturbing considering the idea of crisis was first proposed in the Project for the New American Century‘ in order to create a need for an expanded Military. It makes you question your own stability when you consider that perhaps there are crisis talks about what kind of manufactured crisis is to be initiated and when it will be carried out. The manufactured crisis must also have maximum impact in order to create a climate of fear and absolute urgency to create a fear based consensus that will demand a solution as easy and as fast as possible.

Every year the Centers for Disease Control have cried wolf about the flu epidemic and even though we can determine that the flu has become a political health football, it is important to take special notice on how the flu is being handled with this winter’s sudden outbreak.

This year it seems that the flu has generated more theatrics that have garnered headlines and while it would be easy to dismiss it as another ploy to sucker people into getting a flu shot — the way they are treating the flu this year should be a even more intense warning to stay away from any shot.

In order to understand what I mean, I remember a weird story that I read in the New York Times back in September of 2011 where beach-goers noticed dead seal pups on New Hampshire beaches. The problem was so bad that surfers were surfing into dead seals floating in the water. The seals deaths were not typical, they showed no signs of starvation or any other kinds of disease.

Marine biologists suggested they died suddenly.

An examination of tissues from the seals pointed to a respiratory infection. To identify the pathogen, tissue samples from five pups were sent to the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia University.

Within 24 hours it was discovered that all five seals carried an influenza virus. Within another 24 hours, the researchers had determined that the virus was a strain of the flu never seen in seals. The virus belongs to a flu subtype known as H3N8. H3N8 viruses have crossed over from birds to dogs and horses several times since 1960.

The H3N8 virus seemed to be acting peculiar and it appeared to have mutated. The researchers also found that the new H3N8 flu was able to bind to receptors common in the respiratory systems of mammals as well as receptors common in the respiratory systems of birds — another indication that the virus could jump from species to species.
