ATOMIC BOMBAST

As I was caught in traffic this morning on my way to work, I was listening to the national news broadcasts about the North Korean threats of a nuclear strike. I thought about how, with all of the talk about an attack, the day seemed normal. I was still going through my routine and, in reality, those who I associate with really are not concerned with the possibility that North Korea has the capability of successfully conducting a nuclear strike.

The thing that is most confusing is that I live in what can be called a coastal city since Portland, Oregon is just miles from the Pacific coast and indeed we do have boats in the Columbia and Willamette rivers that are used to protect the shores in the event of nuclear attack.

I do not know if the prevailing attitude is one of “who cares” or if we are “overly confident” that no such attack will happen and that North Korea is, once again, bluffing.

One thing I do know is that there is a concern for the safety of the United States in the places between the coasts as I received a mountain of e-mails that were concerned that a show that I did about UFO’s as a national security concern was downplaying the threats of a North Korean attack.

Even after I assured most listeners that what I was doing was a show that illustrated that ‘unidentified arial phenomena’ should not be downplayed in a time of high alert, it somehow got lost on many people who have now been programmed to assume that when one speaks of something that comes from space they most assuredly are waiting to call it proof of an alien attack.

I was adamant about looking up into the sky and paying attention to the activity. I was literally hoping that people would stop and understand that not all UFO activity is alien or paranormal and that we have to report military movement and strange activity because of what might be a call to war and the idea of having the battlefield in our backyard.

I did receive a few reports of people who looked up and were surprised to see all kinds of aircraft maneuvering in various areas, anything from Marine Cobras flying over Beverly Hills to helicopters doing urban warfare maneuvers and firing their weapons. There was even a story sent to me recently that said Vancouver, British Columbia residents saw a train pass through their back yard carrying ICBM missiles.

It turns out that it was rumored that the missiles were actually mock ups being used for a new remake of ‘Godzilla‘ that will be in theaters in May of 2014.
